Olive Mini-Game
Forgot to post this from last month, this is a video of the new mini-game used on Olive's route. It was later made better by Morgan, this is the first attempt at making the mini-game. :3
Since Olive's route is rather static I turned the mini-game into a longterm goal orientated game. Instead of circles your hands in straps and cuffs slide up the screen as the camera pans down to them and you click on your hands trying to struggle out of them. Morgan added this REALLY cool wiggle effect that as you click it the hands wiggle like you're really struggling to pull them out. :3
Petrify GUI Video
So this is kind of neat about Petrify's GUI. I was struggling with the black/white situation where it needed to be black text against Umbra's marble skin, but when it brought up the menu it would be black text on a black background. I found a way that it changes the color of the font when you click on it. It doesn't seem like much but it's actually a tiny bit to have created and I'm really happy with how it turned out. :3
Lol Back to the drawing board
Not much of an announcement but lol, I've decided to redo all of the GUI I created for Petrify, I'll use what I have for the K-Mart Killer dude (I forgot his name lol Jason? maybe?)
Petrify GUI
Really happy with how the main menu screen is coming along. :3 It was really difficult but worth it! Now I'm a little sad that Love Lock doesn't have a cool menu like this 😅 lol
Petrify Logo
Petrify has a logo now. Been mostly working on the game interface but got a lot of new work done to the story as well as voice acting added, and facial expressions. Plan to get some rough CG's in there before the month is over as well if I can, I have plans for an animated one.
Itch Page Header Idea
Working on the banner for Umbra's game. I've decided to call it Petrify. It's a work in progress I'm not too fond of the feathers or stone pieces just yet, but I like the concept.
