Hi everyone!
🎉Love Lock is going to be pre-released for Valentines day! 🎉
What I mean by pre-release is that the game is likely to still have a few bugs that I've yet to find. Specifically on Olive and David's route as there are 5 endings in each that I can't seem to get, so stats likely still need to be changed around to achieve those endings.
10 endings needing work out of 298 I feel is acceptable for a release though, as I'm itching to release this game and free my focus for other projects and I know you all have been waiting a long time as well.
With that being said, that doesn't mean the game will remain like this. It just means that over the next few months there's going to be updates until all those bugs are fixed and it's no longer a pre-release anymore. Just as there will be updates for translations and then the optional DLC.

Progress
As for progress:
Its down to mostly just Sebastian and David's routes.
Olive needs to be rechecked as well as the Stalker.
And 4 documents still need editing.
Art wise I have 7 images left to create. (until something else is found missing lol)
And the choice trees need to be updated/guide added, and put in the game.
Right and the buttons need to be pretty as said before…
ok things tend to pile up when I look at the game as a whole, but for where it is right now I… 🤞 I think it will be mostly done for Valentines day. Please don't hold me to that though lol. When I say Mostly done, I mean there's still likely to be bugs, bugs that regardless of how much we test it, we likely won't find. I figured that would be the case regardless, that I'd be fixing bugs for a while after initial release. I have plans on making a place to post bugs on itch, some kind of dev log or something.
WIP CG
Some WIP CG for Bonus Content. Not everyone is getting a CG, some get other things. New backgrounds, new sprites, etc. It depends on the story.
Features
Some cool new features have resulted thanks to the testers hard work!
They've been recording endings and key points to help serve as a soft guide later on. Still need to make the buttons pretty though lol

Hey everyone,
I was taking a look at the testing tonight to see where things are at, and thought it might be neat to share.
I've got a few people going through every single route and option finding bugs or continuity errors. Among other things.
Just thought it might be neat to show how much ground has been covered. And how messy it gets ðŸ¤
Translations
Oh my gosh, I've been so busy I completely forgot to share this. :3
It's google translated so the idea is to have someone go through afterwards and touch it up, I don't currently have a translator for Chinese or Russian so those are likely to be stiff, but I suppose broken Chinese/Russian (like broken English?) is better then none?
There are some issues I'm encountering though. It tends to pick and choose what it will and won't translate >.< Working on a fix for that though.
Dev talk
Testing wise there are 2.5 characters left~
The main route that then branches into separate stories still needs to be looked at. For the most part it's been combed through during Patreon testing, but it still needs some double checking

And then there's a lot of behind the scenes stuff for me to take care of: like lowering the volume of songs/sounds that are outside of appropriate levels. Updating the credits with all Patreon names. etc.
My art todo list also increased >.< As testing has found that there are pieces that have errors in them. For instance Mark's backgrounds constantly change from day to night, Adam is missing his facial piercings. Some of the stalkers, Sebastian's and David's faces are old and need to be updated (missed them) as well as making a few new backgrounds/CG's for the rewards of completing all endings.
But yea, This is where things are at the moment.
I am considering though how "perfect" my release needs to be. And that if it's ok to update art at a later date so I don't miss my self imposed deadline. 🤔 I guess this is called a soft release/pre-release? I don't know the terminology though. But I do wonder if you guys would rather Love Lock be released but art be like... not perfect according to a perfectionists standards. Or to wait? 🤔 Maybe I'll put this to a vote.
Art upgrade
Art upgrade! Thankfully I don't have too many more of these left. I truly don't know what 5 years ago me was thinking when I first made these characters. I guess I thought regular cell shading wasn't "cool" enough, or that I had to make it "unique" who knows. I'm glad I got where I am now though
Gallery lag
Alrighty! For the longest time The CG gallery was extremely laggy, I have just fixed that! turns out I couldn't shrink 1920x1080 images to 300pixels, and have it behave like it's a small image. It was overloaded with 164 big 1920x1080 images... so making small thumbs was the fix. :)

The bonus content button has been added to all characters (I've only got half of David and Stalkers written) but it's in there!
I don't have a picture of it, but when it's unlocked the heart lock turns red and opens and the text becomes white instead of grey. The count will also go up to be [max number/max number]

bonus content
Things are progressing along. There is only 4 characters left for testing now and 9 sections/characters left for testing.
So I've started on bonus completion content!
I'm not sure yet if that button/ending tab is a good place for it or not, but like I said in the image there's not a lot of space to work with anymore. Especially for the one character with 54 endings... >.>
I've started writing the Stalkers Bonus content,
I have a general idea of what it's going to be, but still not entirely sure what I should or shouldn't do with it.

But I got this video as confirmation of the print. I thought you guys might like to see how it came out. I'm still a bit worried the blacks are too dark and blocking out all details, but I'll know more once I am able to hold it and bring it closer to my face. Then I can adjust the colors as needed for the selling batch.
Update
Hey everyone, it's been a while again. I've just been continuing the grind.
Olive's route has it's first draft of testing done, now I just have to fix all those bugs I found and sweep through it again for any errors that slipped my notice.
Sebastian and Daniela are fully edited now!
A lot of the latest things I've been up to are secrets but I suppose I could spoil a few.

I've been playing with some mug ideas. As I really do love printing mugs. I don't know why it's just my favorite. So this is another design I've been drafting, though eventually they would all need to hold the signs.
Other then that, I've printed the first Of this one (bondagebunny mug below) for myself to test and see how it looks as a whole. I need to find cheaper printing so that I can sell them cheaper to you all in future.
I've also made the first Love Lock double sided keychain that is currently being printed as well. I've only printed 1-2 to test the ink as blacks and semi blacks sometimes when printed are just 100% black (000000) and it leaves the image with no detail at all. So it's a test print.
I've been working on a pillowcase design for small throw pillows as well. 45cm x 45cm/18inch x 18inch
This is my rough draft as some heads need cleaning up (olive and Damien) and Walters face is not the right style. So far though I love it.
