Trust me Background development

Not sure what's going on with the walls towards the end 🤔 but this is the start of the floor plan I've been working on. :3

EEEEEE I just figured out lighting omg this is going to be the bomb!!!

Trust me Background development

I am so excited! I've been thinking it over for a long time now how I would handle the backgrounds in this one particular game that I'm creating currently known as Trust me or Shishigami. The issue with the backgrounds for this game was cause while it is a visual novel it's also a point and click explorative one. So a lot of backgrounds would be created as a result and I've already got my hands well full with Love Lock. I also wanted to do animated sequences from location to location. I tried installing blender to create a 3D environment and I know that would be better suited for it but my computer is incapable of running it SO after lots of thought I thought about giving the 3D camera in After Effects a try and I am loving the results. I've worked with the 3D camera professionally in a studio once before and I quite liked the work. I think my computer should be able to handle shishigami with ease in comparison as previously I was rendering a forest and it was really intense and causing serious lag on my computer. Anyway I am excited to see if this works out! I have high hopes!

Trust Me

So I've had some other game concepts I've been working on that I want to share some are of the nsfw/porny genre and some are just mystery/horror. But I'd like to gauge the interest in them. I plan on working on them after Love Lock.

The first one I have been developing I call shishigami, It was the word-made up word lol that triggered the idea. I always struggled with the whole porn aspect of Love Lock as I found it limiting in regards to where I can share it. So Shishigami was conceptualized in the process. Later to be renamed as Trust Me.

The character art and GUI is mine but the rest is just placeholders I don't own them. I turned them into art pieces (backgrounds) to experiment and grew attached. I tried to reach out to the owners to see if I could use the pieces but I could't find them or didn't hear back. I was thinking I would create a 3D model of a abandoned school for this project.

**Concept of Trust me:

A group of students in an exploring club go on a field trip to an abandoned school, for some Urban exploration, but when you enter the school 1 of the students gets possessed (1 of the nine each time you start a new game it will be a new student it's randomized) The car will get destroyed and that scream you hear in the video is cause one of the students found a dead body, the first dead body found will be the teacher.

They have to figure out who the killer is before he/she kills you.

The game starts off in a normal school visual novel setting though, you get to know people and accumulate affection points "dating" or whatever

This is for later in the game, the more someone likes you the more they will cooperate with you while you try to navigate this dire situation.**
